DESIGN / WOOD & STEEL

A warmer approach to commercial gondola shelving.

The photographed shelving combines exposed black metal supports with light-toned wood-grain shelves and vertical panels. The result is a more furniture-like appearance than conventional all-metal shelving.

Open Rectangular Steel Frame

A distinctive black structural outline along the shelf ends.

Natural Wood-Grain Appearance

Light wood display surfaces with visible grain patterns.

Multi-Level Merchandise Display

Flat shelf surfaces arranged along connected retail sections.

01 / Product Composition

Three materials and design details working together.

Unlike conventional metal-only gondola shelves, WGRFLS01 incorporates visible wood elements within its steel supporting structure. The materials and construction details should be specified individually.

01 / FRAMEWORK

Black Cold-Rolled Steel Structure

HEDA describes the product as combining cold-rolled steel and wood. The original photographs show rectangular black metal end frames, slotted uprights and supporting members.

02 / DISPLAY SURFACES

Natural Wood-Grain Shelf Panels

Multiple flat shelf surfaces feature a light wood-grain appearance. The actual wood material, panel thickness, finish and load-bearing construction should be confirmed for the order.

03 / DESIGN DETAILS

Coordinated Side & Back Panels

Vertical wood-look panels are visible within the dark metal structure, creating a coordinated visual appearance. HEDA also offers different wood-grain styles subject to confirmation.

03 / Construction Details

Look beyond the wood finish. Examine the support structure.

The product's original close-up collage reveals the steel frame, wooden panels, slotted posts and shelf support connections. These details are especially relevant when selecting the required loading.

Structural Features

A closer look at the steel-and-wood assembly.

Rectangular Metal End Frames

Dark rectangular frame sections surround the wood-look end panels and support the shelving assembly.

Slotted Upright Connections

Repeated rectangular slots are visible along the metal uprights. Final bracket compatibility and mounting positions should be confirmed.

Under-Shelf Metal Supports

The original close-up shows metal components beneath the wood-grain shelf surface. Their dimensions, material thickness and allowable loads require verification.

04 / Liquor Store Merchandising

A refined display appearance for bottle-based retail.

Wooden-look gondola fixtures can provide a warm backdrop for wine, spirits and related retail merchandise. The actual shelving specification must be matched to the weight, height and handling requirements of the products.

01

Bottle Weight & Load Distribution

Glass bottles can create concentrated shelf loads. Provide the bottle weights, quantities per level and expected loading pattern so the shelf and support specifications can be reviewed.

02

Shelf Depth & Bottle Height

Plan shelf depths and vertical clearances around the dimensions of the actual bottles, cartons or gift packaging. Shelf positions should also support convenient product access.

03

Product Retention & Stability

Determine whether shelf-front restraints, bottle guards or additional stability provisions are required. These are project considerations, not automatically included accessories.

04

Wood Finish & Cleaning Requirements

Confirm the shelf-panel finish, cleaning procedure and resistance requirements for the retail environment. Specific water or chemical resistance ratings should be verified.

Application Note: The original HEDA photographs show the shelving structure in a showroom, including a sample “SKIN CARE” category label. They do not document an installed liquor store project. Bottle-retention accessories, anti-tip provisions, load ratings and any special regulatory or installation requirements must be evaluated for the intended liquor-store application.
05 / Published Technical Reference

Compare the 50, 60, 70 and 80 Series.

The official WGRFLS01 page publishes four series covering loading figures, dimensions, upright profiles, backing thicknesses, laminate values and metal supports.

Official HEDA Reference: The following figures reproduce the numerical series information published on the WGRFLS01 product page. They are intended as a preliminary guide for product selection and quotation.

Important Technical Clarification: The published 50, 60, 80 and 100 kg figures do not specify all loading conditions, test methods or load-distribution requirements. These figures must not be treated as verified safe working loads for every wooden shelf or complete assembled rack. The original Backplane and Laminate values do not independently establish the actual thickness or substrate of the wood display panels. Confirm the final wood material, panel thickness, shelf loading, steel connections, dimensions and stability requirements against the approved engineering specification before production.
