HEDA SHELVES / MULTILAYER MEZZANINE STORAGE PRODUCT NO.00291
Custom Steel Mezzanine & Integrated Shelving

More Storage. One Steel Structure.

HEDA SHELVES Multilayer Mezzanine Platform Shelving System combines elevated steel flooring and warehouse storage shelving to utilize available building height more effectively. Product No.00291 is presented through real installation photographs showing blue perforated upright frames, orange supporting beams, silver-grey steel platform panels and integrated lower-level shelving. Its modular construction supports project-specific arrangements for warehouse storage, elevated access and additional storage levels. Platform dimensions, shelving capacity, load requirements and access arrangements are determined according to the approved warehouse design.

Examine the Actual Elevated Steel Floor

The original manufacturer photographs include a clear view of the upper platform surface. Silver-grey metal decking panels extend across the elevated area, with raised surface patterns and visible panel joints. This distinguishes the featured installation from a plywood-only mezzanine floor.

Platform Decking Detail

A Continuous Metal Floor Surface

The photograph provides a direct view of the metallic surface used for the upper platform. The decking has a visible raised surface profile and repeated panel joints. Suitable floor decking must be selected according to its support arrangement, required load capacity, walking conditions and relevant safety requirements.

Visible finish: Silver-grey patterned metallic surface.
Panel arrangement: Multiple adjacent steel deck sections.
Engineering check: Thickness, span, deflection and fixings.
Operational check: Walking loads, concentrated loads and suitable access.
Floor material clarification: The raised pattern visible in the photograph identifies the appearance of the steel decking. It does not establish a certified slip-resistance classification, steel thickness or safe working load. The final rated floor performance must be confirmed in the engineering specification.
Real Lower-Level Racking

Storage Shelving Beneath the Elevated Platform

The original No.00291 gallery also shows the shelving system located below the mezzanine floor. Blue upright frames, diagonal braces, orange load beams and light grey storage surfaces form an integrated lower-level arrangement.

Original Structural View / 01

Integrated Rack Frames and Shelf Levels

The original photograph shows blue perforated uprights connected to orange horizontal beams. Blue diagonal bracing forms part of the frame structure. Light grey solid shelf surfaces are visible at the lower storage level. Rack bay dimensions and allowable shelf loading must be specified separately from the mezzanine platform capacity.

Visible: upright hole profiles, orange beams, blue braces and solid lower storage surfaces.

Original Structural View / 02

Lower Storage Bays and Access Space

This installation photograph shows a longer perspective through the lower-level racking. Orange supporting beams and the metallic platform structure are visible above the shelving. The ground-level layout includes several storage bays and an internal aisle. Storage capacity, aisle width and material handling methods must suit the final warehouse plan.

Visible: overhead platform supports, blue rack frames, storage surfaces and ground-level circulation.

Storage load distinction: The lower grey shelving surfaces and elevated steel platform serve different functions. Their load ratings must be determined independently. The published mezzanine floor load range should not be applied directly to each individual storage shelf.

Repeated Beams Across the Mezzanine Structure

This view follows the underside of the platform along the warehouse. Parallel orange supporting members and metallic floor panels form a repeated structural arrangement. The regular spacing visible in the photograph is part of this specific installation. Actual support spacing, member sections and floor loading must be determined from the approved design.

Visible: repeated orange beams, profiled steel decking and blue support frames.

Engineering clarification: The number and arrangement of supporting members visible in these photographs should not be used as a universal design standard. Mezzanine spans, support spacing, connections and column capacities require project-specific structural verification.
Structural Design Principles

The Platform, Beams and Frames Must Work Together

A mezzanine racking installation is a complete load-bearing system rather than an independent floor panel or storage rack. The allowable loads must be checked through the full supporting structure.

01

Goods and Operating Loads

Identify stored goods, personnel, shelving, equipment and any heavy concentrated loads.

02

Metal Deck and Supports

Verify floor panel capacity, supporting spans, deflection and panel connections.

03

Steel Beams and Frames

Check orange load-supporting members, blue steel frames, bracing and connections.

04

Anchors and Foundation

Review base connections, floor capacity, structural stability and site conditions.

Published floor load range: HEDA lists 300–1,000 kg/m² as a reference for different mezzanine configurations. This does not guarantee that the photographed No.00291 structure supports 1,000 kg/m². The final allowable distributed load, point loads and moving equipment loads must be confirmed through the approved engineering design.
Mezzanine Floor Material Options

Select the Right Flooring for Your Application

The actual No.00291 installation photographs show patterned steel platform decking. HEDA also lists other floor material options for customized mezzanine configurations. The final choice depends on structural loading, material handling and local building requirements.

FLOORING OPTION / 01

Steel Decking

Steel decking is the flooring type visibly featured in the No.00291 product photographs. The approved panel profile, material specification, supports and safe working load must be confirmed for each project.

FLOORING OPTION / 02

Galvanized Sheet

HEDA also lists galvanized sheet among its mezzanine flooring options. Material thickness, structural spans, loading and installation details must be selected according to the final project requirements.

FLOORING OPTION / 03

Wood Plywood

Plywood is another manufacturer-listed floor material. Its suitability depends on the intended loads, board specifications, support spacing, environmental conditions and applicable fire requirements.

Material options: These are alternative flooring choices, not components necessarily included together in the photographed No.00291 installation. Final floor material, thickness and structural capacity must be specified in the quotation.
Multi-Level Warehouse Operation

Plan Safe Access Before the Mezzanine Goes into Service

The original product photographs document the steel structure and construction details. For a completed mezzanine project, personnel access, exposed edges and goods movement must be planned alongside the structural system.

ACCESS DESIGN / 01

Stairways and Landings

Provide designated access between floor levels. Stair dimensions, handrails, landings and clearances must meet the approved operational and safety requirements. Stairs are not confirmed as included in the photographed supply.

ACCESS DESIGN / 02

Guardrails and Openings

Elevated working platforms require appropriate protection at exposed edges and access openings. Guardrails, loading gates and compatible safety devices should be specified according to the project.

GOODS HANDLING / 03

Vertical Goods Transfer

Goods can be transferred between levels using an approved method, depending on their size and weight. Options may include manual transfer, suitable slides or cargo lifting equipment, where specified.

WAREHOUSE SAFETY / 04

Loading and Circulation

Establish suitable personnel routes, storage areas, transfer locations and permitted handling equipment. All concentrated or rolling loads must be checked against the approved floor design.

Operational clarification: Equipment used to deliver goods to a mezzanine transfer point is not automatically approved to operate on the elevated floor. Forklift or pallet-truck operation on the platform requires specific structural and safety approval.
Custom Mezzanine Engineering

Five Checks Before Finalizing the Project

No.00291 can be configured around the requirements of a warehouse. However, the final platform dimensions, steel sections and access arrangements must suit the actual building.

01

Building Dimensions

Measure warehouse length, width, clear height, existing columns, roof members and overhead building services.

02

Storage and Floor Loads

Confirm required loading in kg/m² together with concentrated loads, stored goods, shelving positions and equipment use.

03

Rack and Platform Structure

Determine the suitable number of levels, support spans, upright arrangement, beam sections and structural bracing requirements.

04

Access and Goods Handling

Plan stair positions, access routes, loading points and goods transfer methods according to warehouse operations.

05

Safety and Installation

Check structural anchoring, existing floor capacity, guardrails, fire protection, emergency access and relevant local building approvals.
